Taste your way through Jaisalmer on a guided culinary journey combining beloved local snacks, traditional Rajasthani cuisine and heritage sightseeing. Taste Jaisalmer through its kitchens & golden heritage

The experience begins in the morning with two of Jaisalmer’s most popular local favourites. Start with a serving of dal pakwaan, a satisfying combination of spiced lentils and crisp fried bread, followed by the much-loved kachori from Fateh Ki Kachori. These flavourful stops offer an authentic introduction to the city’s everyday food culture.

After breakfast, continue towards Jaisalmer Fort and enter its lively lanes lined with heritage homes, temples, shops and traditional eateries. Explore the fort’s architecture and living character while learning how its history, trade routes and desert surroundings have influenced local food traditions.

Later, sit down for a traditional Rajasthani thali at Desert Boy’s Dhani or a similar restaurant inside the fort. The meal offers a wholesome spread of regional dishes, breads, accompaniments and local flavours served in a traditional setting.

After lunch, continue to Dhanmal Rajmal and taste gotua, one of Jaisalmer’s best-known traditional sweets. Its rich flavour and distinctive texture make it a fitting conclusion to the culinary part of the tour.

The experience then continues to Patwon Ki Haveli, where intricately carved façades, balconies and merchant-era architecture reveal another side of Jaisalmer’s heritage. The tour concludes after the haveli visit.
