Leopard Country

Jawai
Wildlife Safari

Explore Jawai’s dramatic granite hills, open scrubland and rural landscapes on a guided wildlife safari. Travel through leopard territory with an experienced local driver, observe native animals and birdlife, and discover the remarkable coexistence between wildlife and the communities living around this distinctive region of Rajasthan.

Track leopards across the wilderness of Jawai.

Your Jawai wildlife safari begins with pickup from your hotel, camp or the designated meeting point. Board an open safari vehicle and travel into a striking landscape of granite hills, rocky outcrops, grasslands and village tracks accompanied by an experienced local driver or naturalist.

The safari follows routes known for leopard movement, with stops at selected viewpoints where the surrounding hills and caves can be carefully observed. Your guide will look for tracks, calls and other signs of wildlife while explaining leopard behaviour and the natural character of the region.

Along the way, you may also encounter nilgai, chinkara, wild boar, langurs, peacocks and several native bird species. Depending on the route, the experience may include views of Jawai Dam, seasonal wetlands or traditional pastoral settlements.

Morning and evening safaris offer different light and wildlife activity. After spending time exploring the countryside and pausing for photographs, return to your hotel or camp. Leopard and wildlife sightings depend entirely on natural movement and cannot be guaranteed.
