This immersive five-day tour goes beyond conventional sightseeing, combining Jaisalmer’s living heritage with fossil landscapes, an overnight camel expedition, desert villages, cultural experiences & powerful stories of India’s western frontier.
Day 1
Jaisalmer: Arrival & Sightseeing
Arrive in Jaisalmer and meet our representative for your transfer to the hotel. After check-in and some time to refresh, begin exploring the Golden City.
Walk through Jaisalmer Fort, where historic homes, temples, shops and cafés remain active within the old fortified walls. Visit the Jain Temples and continue to Patwon Ki Haveli to admire its intricately carved balconies, windows and sandstone façades.
Later, spend a peaceful evening at Gadisar Lake, surrounded by temples, shrines, carved gateways and waterside ghats.

Day 2
Jaisalmer: Desert Experience
After breakfast, leave Jaisalmer for Akal Wood Fossil Park, where fossilised tree trunks and ancient geological formations reveal a very different chapter of the desert’s history.
Continue deeper into the countryside and meet the camel team for your overnight desert safari. Ride across open sands, scrubland and quiet desert trails while experiencing landscapes far removed from the busier tourist areas.
Pause at a suitable location to watch the sunset before reaching the overnight campsite. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner and spend the night beneath the open desert sky in a traditional mobile camp.

Day 3
Jaisalmer: Desert Experience
Wake up in the desert and enjoy breakfast at the safari camp before continuing the journey.
Visit Amar Sagar and explore its historic reservoir, temple complex and sandstone pavilions. Proceed to Kuldhara, where abandoned homes and silent lanes preserve the story of the former Paliwal settlement.
Continue to Jaseri Oasis, a contrasting patch of water and greenery amid the arid surroundings. Later, travel to Sam Sand Dunes and check in at the desert camp.
Enjoy time on the dunes during sunset, followed by Rajasthani folk music, traditional dance and dinner at the camp.

Day 4
Jaisalmer: Border Tour
Leave the desert camp after an early breakfast and travel towards the remote frontier region west of Jaisalmer.
Visit Tanot Mata Temple, a revered shrine associated with local faith and India’s military history. Continue to Longewala War Memorial and explore the displays recounting the events of the 1971 Battle of Longewala.
Proceed towards the permitted Indo-Pak border area, subject to security conditions, local regulations and access permissions. The route offers a rare perspective on the stark terrain and strategic importance of the western border.
On the return journey, stop at Bada Bagh and walk among the royal cenotaphs overlooking the desert plains. Continue to Jaisalmer and check in at the hotel.

Day 5
Jaisalmer: Departure
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out according to your departure schedule.
