Discover the many layers of Udaipur and its surroundings through royal residences, historic temples, landscaped gardens, a dramatic hill fortress and one of Rajasthan’s finest examples of marble craftsmanship.

Day 1

Udaipur: Arrival & Sightseeing

Arrive at Udaipur Airport or railway station and meet our representative for your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, take some time to settle into the relaxed pace of the City of Lakes.

Later, visit Fateh Sagar Lake and enjoy the open waterfront with views of the surrounding hills. Continue to Saheliyon Ki Bari, where fountains, lotus pools, marble pavilions and shaded pathways reflect the refined tastes of Mewar’s royal era.

As the evening settles over the city, explore the streets around Lake Pichola or spend some quiet time at a lakeside café.

Day 2

Udaipur: Local Sightseeing

Begin the morning at City Palace, a vast collection of courtyards, balconies, galleries and royal apartments overlooking Lake Pichola. Wander through its museums and terraces while taking in views across the old city and distant Aravalli Hills.

Continue to Jagdish Temple, known for its elevated entrance and richly sculpted exterior. Later, visit the Classic and Vintage Car Museum to see automobiles once used by the former royal family of Mewar.

In the afternoon, drive uphill to Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace. Its commanding position offers sweeping views over Udaipur’s lakes, forests and whitewashed neighbourhoods.

Return to Lake Pichola in the evening for a boat ride, subject to availability and operating conditions, and see the palaces, islands and ghats from the water.

Day 3

Udaipur: Local Excursion

Leave Udaipur after an early breakfast for a full-day journey into the Aravalli Hills.

Begin at Kumbhalgarh Fort, a powerful Mewar stronghold built across a rugged hilltop. Pass through its fortified gateways, explore the historic complex and look out across the forested landscape from its extensive defensive walls.

Continue towards Ranakpur, travelling through winding roads, small settlements and scenic valleys. Visit Ranakpur Jain Temple and step into its magnificent marble halls, where intricately carved pillars, ceilings and domes create an atmosphere of extraordinary detail and calm.

After completing the excursion, return to Udaipur for a restful evening at the hotel.

Day 4

Udaipur: Departure

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out according to your departure schedule. Any available time may be used for a final walk near the lake or shopping for miniature paintings, textiles, handicrafts and traditional souvenirs.

You will then be transferred to Udaipur Airport or railway station for your onward journey.
